Just made major improvements to the Beachhouse! Concrete Septic Holding Tank, Flush Toilet, Glass Shower, Sink, new Vinyl Flooring, new White Panelling in the living room, Furnace Forced Air, Spiral Ducts, Central Air! 12ft high Retro living room beach mural coming soon!

Beachhouse is rented out year-round! Running well water, hot shower, central air, electric heat!

Winter renters and ice fishing groups are encouraged to bring a propane lantern or/and a propane heater for the outhouse. Keeps it toasty warm in there - instant heat! There's a flush toilet indoors, and a clean outdoor toilet outside. You can use both and conserve water. The Beachhouse is on a small septic holding tank. Pump out is $120.

Full Kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, new sink, pots, pans, etc...

I always encourage renters to bring easy meals and to consider bringing paper plates to cut down on dishes and water to avoid filling up the holding tank. Besides, who wants to do dishes when they're on vacation anyways!

Firepit in the yard ~ you may burn your paper there.

Bring your garbage home with you ~ There is a nearby landfill. No garbage pick up in cottage country.

Coffee, tea, sugar hot chocolate is provided!

ICE FISHING GROUPS

The Beachhouse is located in Patricia Beach, only 800 meters from the Patricia Beach Provincial Park parking lot and ice access. Last winter's groups from Fargo enjoyed the close proximity to the lake and were able to snowmobile from the Beachhouse to their shacks each day!

Beachhouse to Patricia Beach Provincial Park

The Beachhouse is walking distance to Patricia Beach Provincial Park gate and parking lot. It's the closest vacation rental to the beautiful white sand of Patricia Beach.

The park is stretched along 2.5 kilometers of the south-east shore. Terrestrial features in the park include the natural sand beach, shifting sand dunes, a lagoon/marsh and forest. The park protects various habitats for birds such as Piping Plovers as well as a wetland for water birds. It's a pelican paradise!

The beach makes for very pleasant walks and provides access for swimming in the lake. There are also picnic areas and washrooms located within the park.

Windsurfing ~ Patricia Beach Provincial Park is a popular choice for windsurfers! The legendary winds of Lake Winnipeg may have struck fear into many a lake-going mariner, but to speed-loving windsurfers in the Lake's southern basin, the breezes are a blessing.

Food ~ Sandy's Chipstand is open from Spring until the Fall. They offer a huge variety of burgers, fries, milkshakes, etc... The Chipstand is located right on the shore (204) 635-2552.

Basking in the Patricia Beach sunset in the beautiful white sand is a must while staying at the Beachhouse!

Beachhouse to Balsam Bay Boat Dock & Beach

The Beachhouse is only 12 minutes from popular year-round fishing area, Balsam Bay.

Some days, cars, trucks, trailers, are lined up for miles along the road to Balsam, to fish this area of Lake Winnipeg.

It's a hot spot ~ be sure to check it out!

Enjoy the beautiful sunset on the Balsam Bay Beach! It's a great spot to put your kayak or paddle board into the lake.

Beachhouse to Gull Lake

The Beachhouse is only a 12 minute drive to Gull Lake.

You will find groceries, fuel, and beverages at the Sherwood Grocery & Chipstand.

In the sumer months their Chipstand is open and they offer delicious burgers, fries, onion rings, even perogies!

In winter months, enjoy a snowmobile ride to Gull Lake along the groomed snowmobile trail and gas up at the Sherwood Grocery & Chipstand (204) 635-2171.

Beachhouse to Grand Beach, Grand Marais

The Beachhouse is only a 23 minute drive to beautiful Grand Beach! Grand Beach has been called one of Canada’s best beaches. The beach has three kilometres of fine, white sand backed by 12-metre sand dunes on the edge of the town of Grand Marais in Grand Beach Provincial Park.

In Grand Marais and Grand Beach Provincial Park you will find restaurants and beverage rooms, grocery stores, and shops:

The Sand Bar, Spirit Rock Cafe, Lola's, Juan More Thing, Lankys, Grand Beach Diner, Gray's on Grand Beach, Dare Restaurant, Potenza's Restaurant & Bar, Village Grocery Store, XTR, Pete's Mini Putt, and more!

Beachhouse to Hillside Beach

The Beachhouse is only a 27 minute drive to Hillside Beach & Lagoon!

It's long sandy beach is usually quite empty. The lagoon is great for fishing, boating or water skiing!

Make sure to visit the Hillside Beach Store and Eatery and taste their amazing food! They offer breakfast skillets, fries, italian poutine, burgers and even a large variety of hot sandwiches!

They even host special dinner nights and serve impressive plates like

red wine braised short ribs served with creamy garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Served with tossed salad and for dessert, poached pears with chocolate sauce. Esquisite!

Beachhouse to Grand Pines Golf Course

The Beachhouse is only a 24 minute drive to the championship course, Grand Pines Golf Course, which borders the Belair Provincial Forest.

Beachhouse to Ancient Beach Walking and Cross-country Ski Trail

The Beachhouse is a 23 minute drive to the Ancient Beach Trail. The Trail is a 1.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located in the Grand Beach Provincial Park that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a groomed part for winter cross-country skiing. The trail is short and easy, although there is one uphill section and one downhill section.

The Belair ATV Club manages over 200 kms of signed trails in the East Beaches area of Lake Winnipeg and includes a catchment area from Victoria Beach to East Selkirk and the East shore of Lake Winnipeg to Pine Falls Manitoba. The club operates a multi use ATV trail known as the Whistle Pig Rail Trail all the way from East Selkirk to Pine Falls with access to over 600 kms of outstanding forest trails and scenery with staging area in East Selkirk, one near Stead at Hwy 304 and another just off of Hwy 11, and 1.6 kms east of Hwy 59.

Cross Country Skiing

Grand Beach Provincial Park has 18K of trails that are groomed for classic cross country skiing.

New in 2020, 6K of the trails are now shared use with snowshoeing, and walking.

THE SUNSET BEACH STUDIO NEAR GRAND BEACH IS NOT BUILT YET. THE NEW STUDIO WILL NOT BE BUILT FOR A FEW YEARS (2028-2030) BUT IT'S IN THE PLANS. I WILL UPDATE MY WEBSITE.

*Newborns Start at a 2-hour block for $320,

and can take longer. Feed baby very well and bring diapers and more milk or be prepared to nurse and burb your baby. It's normal to have multiple feedings, burping, and diaper changes, and feeding again, and burping, before we get good ones. A hungry baby or gassy baby won't settle enough for good pictures so patience and time is key. Sometimes we just get a couple at a time. All good.
